Information for Presenters

Technical requirements, presentation submission, and allocated presentation times.

Presentation Guidelines

  • Accepted presentation formats are Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx), Apple Keynote (.key), and PDF (.pdf).
  • Windows and macOS computers will be available for presentations.
  • Please send your presentation to rec2026.mb@tu-dortmund.de or bring it on a USB flash drive.
  • Presentations must be submitted at least 15 minutes before the beginning of your session. USB flash drives will also be available in the presentation room for transferring your presentation to the conference computer.
  • Please use the following naming convention for your presentation file: FirstName_LastName_REC2026.
  • The recommended presentation format is 16:9 (widescreen).
  • If your presentation includes videos or audio, please test them in advance and bring the original media files as a backup.
  • If you have any special technical requirements, please inform the Session Chair before the beginning of your session.
  • The REC 2026 logo can be downloaded here if you would like to use it in your presentation.

Presentation Times

Keynote 50 min presentation + 10 min questions
60 min total
Junior keynote 40 min presentation + 5 min questions
45 min total
Regular 13 min presentation + 4 min questions
17 min total

Please respect the allocated time so that the overall conference program remains on schedule.

Timing Cards

Please use the timing cards provided during each presentation:

2 MIN LEFT
Green – 2 minutes remain in the presentation part.
PLEASE FINISH
Yellow – the presentation time has ended. Please conclude the presentation and proceed to the discussion.
STOP
Red – the entire allocated time slot, including presentation and discussion, has ended. Please close the discussion and invite participants to continue during a break.

During the Session

  • Briefly introduce each speaker at the beginning of their presentation.
  • Moderate the discussion and ensure that questions and answers remain within the allocated time.
  • If required, briefly repeat questions from the audience before the speaker answers to ensure that everyone can hear them.
  • If there are no questions from the audience, please initiate the discussion with a question of your own whenever possible.
  • At the end of the session, thank the speakers and the audience before announcing the next session or break.
  • An assistant will be present at all times to solve eventual technical issues.
